The Gospel of The Beloved Companion

The following discussions and practices are part of a series focusing particularly on the teachings of Mary Magdalene which are presented in Jehanne de Quillan's translation of the Occitan version preserved by the Languedoc Cathar families since the Twelfth Century and which, according to tradition was translated from the Alexandrian Greek text which arrived in the South of France (Roman Gaul) in the middle of the First Century. Jehanne's translation was first published in 2010.
Ascending the first bough of the Tree of Life
The School of Christian Mysticism introduces the Gospel and focuses on a part of it that will be explored through Lectio Divina in coming weeks.
The first meditation on the Gospel translated by Jehanne de Quillan
Viv interviews Anne Baring for the School of Christian Mysticism about the Divine Feminine and The Dream of the Cosmos. "Anne Baring is one of the great pioneers on the Divine Feminine of our time. Her work is a marvelous marriage of profound learning, deep and mature mystical experience and a vivid immediate gift of communication. Her latest book, The Dream of the Cosmos, is the consummation of her life’s work, twenty years in the making." This is a hard hitting interview about the re-emergence in our time of the feminine face of God after millennia of repression and oppression by institutional religion. She talks also about the important relationship between Jesus and Mary Magdalene.
